"Hadaka" is the Japanese word for "naked". Since this blog reveals many of my secret thoughts and such, I thought the title was pretty appropriate.

There's ice covering the ground which means no school today. Sounds like a good thing, right? And it is... except for the fact that we lose our holiday after Easter because of it. >_> Oh well. I'm bored, so I thought I'd catch up on my entries. ^^;

Friday night, Joshua and I went to see "The Life of David Gale". The entire movie made fun of Texas and accused us of being killers because we enforce the death penalty. Of course every Texan in the movie wore a ten-gallon hat, talked with a very distinct accent, and said things like, "Well, bless my boots!" And the policemen rode horses instead of driving cars. I have yet to see a policeman riding a horse anywhere around here. ><; Anyway, if you can look past the facts that the movie was made by a bunch of liberals and that it continuously put down Texas, the plot line was pretty good. It was suspensful at times, funny at times, and at one point it made me cry. But I'll never watch it again.

Saturday morning I arrived at band solo and ensemble contest bright and early at 7:30. Bah. >_> But Joshua picked me up and brought me there, so it was okay. :P We were supposed to play at 8:14, but they were already behind and we didn't end up playing until about 8:40 or so. Our ensemble didn't go as well as we'd practiced before, but we still made a first division! So we get to go to state... whee! XD After the contest Joshua and I went to his house and ate breakfast. Then we watched "The Importance of Being Earnest" with his mother. :D It was really clever and funny, though I was rather lost at the beginning. The movie had a very unexpected ending, but I liked it. XP After the movie we went to his dorm room and sat around, then went to my house and... sat around some more. We also watched "Girl, Interrupted". It was good, but unfortunately it had Angelina Jolie in it. XD! (If you couldn't tell, I don't care for her very much.) Parts of it were kinda slow, but all in all I really enjoyed it. Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie (though I can't stand her) portrayed their characters wonderfully. Of course, Jolie played a half-psychotic *cough* "B", so an accurate portrayal would be expected. >:D Okay... enough Angelina Jolie bashing. LOL. XP

The next day was quite normal, but I finally got to play Rangnarok at Joshua's dorm! :D I've been having trouble downloading the patches so I don't have it set up at my house yet. ;.; It was so much fun... I missed it so much! ^^ Anyway, the day ended with Joshua and I playing "Grand Theft Auto 3" at my house, which was a lot of fun. XD He used a cheat to make the cars fly, and he figured out how to fly a huge tank really high above the cities. Then the police cars would try to fly after us, but they'd always crash into something. It was hilarious. ^^

Yesterday is not even worth mentioning... although I just did, didn't I? XD; I went to school (which was very uneventful), then came home and sat while it sleeted outside. Whoop dee doo.

Whaha! I get to play Ragnarok Online again! *dances* XD For those of you who don't know, Ragnarok Online (RO) is a Korean online RPG made by Gravity. The characters are adorable and it's rather addicting. ^^ The game used to be free for anyone who wanted to play, but Gravity decided to make it a closed beta, meaning that there are only a certain number of users allowed and you also have to pay. >_> But Gravity somehow leaked the server code and a friend of mine was lucky enough to come across it! So he's gonna set up his own server for all our friends to play for free! YaY!! :D For more information about the site, visit RagnarokOnline.com. And please don't beg me for an account... I'm not in charge of it. XD;;

Not much else is going on right now. I finished all my projects, essays, and tests, so life is a lot less stressful schoolwise at the moment. I have to get up early on Saturday for band solo and ensemble contest though. Blah. >< I'm playing a flute trio with my friends Lauren and Katy. We made it to state last year and that's our goal for this year too! XP At least I'll get to sleep in on Tuesday. The freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are taking a test that morning, so the seniors don't have to be at school until 10:30. Whee. ^_^

Hm... I heard a kinda cool poem on the Nickelodeon cartoon "As Told By Ginger" a few days ago. (And yes I like cartoons. Get over it. XP) See what you think.

She chose to walk alone.
Though others wondered why.
Refused to look before her,
Kept eyes cast upwards,
Towards the sky.
She didn't have companions.
No need for earthly things.
Only wanted freedom,
From what she felt were puppet strings.
She longed to be a bird.
That she might fly away.
She pitied every blade of grass
For planted they would stay.
She longed to be a flame.
That brightly danced alone.
Felt jealous of the steam
That made the air its only home.
Some say she wished too hard.
Some say she wished too long.
But we awoke one autumn day
To find that she was gone.
The trees, they say, stood witness.
The sky refused to tell.
But someone who had seen it
Said the story played out well.
She spread her arms out wide.
Breathed in the break of dawn.
She just let go of all she held...
And then she was gone.

Anyway, Saturday night was a blast! I went to my friend Adriel's birthday party and it was a lot of fun. We hung around eating, watching "Signs", and listening to the band playing outside. Then we played some crazy games. XD In one of the games we each got a slip of paper and wrote our name on it. Then we put the papers in a bowl and drew another person's name out. On the slip of paper we had to write a truth or dare for the other person and sign our name at the bottom. The surprise came when we learned that the name of the game was "Backfire"... we had to do our own dares! I had to chug a full glass of punch. I loved the punch, but chugging it sucked because I kept laughing! :P At least mine wasn't as bad as Brandon's -- he had to chug four cups! Some of the dares were more tame like sliding down the stairs or standing on their hands while singing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". (The only challenging thing about the latter was that our dear slightly-ditzy Mandy forgot the words. ^^;) One guy had to run around outside in the cold wearing only his happy-face boxers! Nick had to eat a line of toothpaste, but Michael had to drink a cup of toilet water!! Blech! X6 The only dare that wasn't carried out was the girl who was supposed to suck on one of the guys' toes. His feet were disgusting, so we let her slide. :P

Yesterday was primarily uneventful, but I got to spend the entire day with my Joshua, so it was good. Hehe. :D But today wasn't too great. I have a bunch of tests and projects this week... ick. And someone rear-ended me at lunch. >

Happy Valentine's Day!! :D

Today was a very good day. ^^ I got candy and chocolate from my friends, family, and three-year-old next-door neighbor (tee hee), and I'm looking forward to eating it all! YaY. :9 Joshua showed up at my door tonight with a boquet of flowers and a box of Butterfingers (my favorite candy). Then we went out to eat at Red Lobster, and despite the two-hour wait, it it was great. I had a bowl of CLAM CHOWDER... Mmm... *drools* Hehe. XP Then we went to my house and exchanged gifts. He gave me a gorgeous box of truffles and a necklace... with two real diamonds!! I've never had real diamonds before. T_T

I was at school today in the computer lab, and I stumbled upon a Chrystler contest with tickets to the opening night of Celine Dion's concert as the prize!! I filled it all out excitedly and then went to the rules page only to find out that I had to be 21 years old to enter. What is up with that?! I just turn 18, I'm thrilled because I can finally enter contests and buy things I couldn't before... and then they had to go make the limit 21. Bah. They're all against me. ><;

Life is quite dull at the moment. I got my hair highlighted and cut today... and although it's nice being pampered like that, it gets kinda old after the hour and a half it takes to get it done. >_> Oh well. I haven't started tanning yet... and I haven't gotten my ears pierced again either. I need to start taking advantage of my privileges as an 18-year-old. Hehe. ^^

I've gotten three late birthday presents in the past few days! Better late than never, I say. ;P Sammie got me "The Eminem Show" and it's awesome. I really like Eminem -- he's very talented and I like how he speaks his mind. I also got a gift certificate from Adriel and some jewelry from Cheryl. Keep 'em coming... LOL. Just kidding. XD Someone else also owes me a gift, but I can't decide which CD I want! Here are my choices: Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, Blink-182, Boxcar Racer, New Found Glory, and Sum-41. Any suggestions? I need to narrow it down to two. :P

Do you like to laugh? Sure you do! XP Check out HomestarRunner.com for a good chuckle. The website has a lot of very well-done Flash cartoons and games based on the adorable Homestar Runner and his friends. Must-sees include the introduction video, the Fluffy Puff Marshmallows commercial, and Strong Bad's email responses. Good stuff. :D

Today is my birthday! XD

That's right, the Amii-chan is finally 18! Hehe... now I can get my ears pierced again. Whee! I can also buy cigarettes and porn, but I would never do any of that. Tee hee. ^^ It's a nice feeling being a legal "adult". But just because I can be labeled as an adult, that doesn't mean I have to be mature, does it? I sure hope not! XP

Last night my boyfriend Joshua and I celebrated my birthday. He got his friend Jim to pick me up at my house in a bow tie, and there were a teddy bear, shirt, and card in the front seat of the car. Jim then took me to Joshua's house where he had set up a candle-lit dinner in his dining room for us! There were eighteen gorgeous "mini-roses" on the table for me too. *^^* We ate a really good dinner, and then he gave me his present -- the choice to see either Avril Lavigne or Sum-41 in concert! XD I haven't decided which one I want to see yet... some input might be helpful. :P Anyway, after that we went to see "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days" and it was good... until the end. With only about fifteen minutes left in the movie, the picture suddenly cut out and they couldn't get it working again. So they pissed off an entire theater full of people, even though they did give everyone a free movie pass. I hate not seeing the end! We'll have to see it soon so I can find out what happens. ^^

Tonight was dinner with the family plus Joshua. We all went out to a chinese restaurant and it was delicious. Then we came back to the house and I opened presents! I got two CDs -- "Home" by the Dixie Chicks and "Gutterflower" by the Goo Goo Dolls. I also got four DVDs -- "Pearl Harbor", "Legally Blonde", "Serendipity", and "Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring". Oh! I got a new printer too... but it isn't working correctly. Pfft. Technology is so unreliable. >_>

All in all, I had a really good eighteenth birthday! Thank you all for your sweet birthday wishes! *huggles* ^_^

I am in a rut.

Have you ever felt like you're just not accomplishing anything in life? Like what you are doing is only a waste of your time? That's the way I feel now. Every Monday through Friday I go to school and sit in a classroom. I probably will not use over 90% of what I "learn". I am only taking two classes I actually need to graduate. I am forced to be around people I absolutely can't stand. And what do I get out of it? Money or something useful like that? Nope. Oh, but I'm getting an "education" and I'm being "productive". Ha... I sure don't feel productive. What have I got to show for it? >< Meh... I have very severe senioritis. I need to get out of high school soon or I'll go crazy. >_>

My birthday's in four days! Whaha! XD

My sweet Joshua wrote me a poem! *giggle* ^^ He's so talented! He gave it to me in an awesome Flash animation, but all I'll post here are the words. The complete gift is for ME only. Tee hee. XD

I cannot be a poet,
For I do not know the words.
I might sing my love...
But my voice should not be heard.
Perhaps I'd be an artist,
But there is no color yet
That could match thy face in beauty,
Or even paint thy silhouette.
Thus I pour my heart
In just my simple way.
My best is that I love thee,
And that's the way I'll stay.

Too mushy for you? Get over it! Hehehe. XP

Anyway, as you can see I cleaned out my main page for the new month. The old entries can still be accessed from the "Archives" section to the right though. And I also moved the "Contact" section further toward the top on the left because I don't think hardly anyone noticed it way down where it used to be. ...At least that's the reason I like to give myself for why many of my visitors don't sign my guestbook. ;P

Want a good laugh? Go here. XD!!
