I seem to be stuck in a "post every other day" rut. I hardly ever write two days in a row... bah. XP My life just isn't exciting enough to fill up seven days a week of entries. In fact, It's hardly enough to write about at all. Oh well.
I'm in a pretty good mood considering all my crap for the week is now over. I got my English paper turned in and my statistics test wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. But with my luck I only felt like I knew all the material... I prolly ended up doing it all wrong. It always worries me when I feel like I did well on a test in that class. o.O In psychology we watched "Leave It To Beaver" and "Seinfeld". Why, you might ask? Because of the "affect they had psychologically on American society". That's a bunch of BS -- my teacher is just lazy. Oh well... I don't mind. XD
I just realized something I've never written about here... my kitty! Daisuki!! *^^* ("I love him!!" to all those people who don't adore Japanese as much as I do. Hehe. :P) My inspiration to brag about him came just now when he rubbed up against my leg and looked up at me with his adorable golden eyes. His name is Rusty and he's the biggest, cutest, sweetest cat in the world!! Hehe... naw, I'm not biased. XP Anyway, if you're interested, here are some pictures of my big orange cutie:
Ain't he a doll? ;D *huggles*

I need sleep. @.@ I had to get to school a half hour early at 7:30 so that I could practice a flute trio this morning. My friend Lauren and I were both late (being the lazy seniors we are) and Katy forgot. So there was really no point in getting up early. Bah... oh well. XP
Anyway, today was a pretty easy day. I'm in a dual credit English class, which means that I get both high school and college credit for taking it. Good deal, eh? ^^ Our class has a big research paper to do, so today we spent the morning at the nearby community college library "researching". I got absolutely nothing out of it, except a break from school and a free capuccino. And the bus ride was fun... my friends and I had many deep thoughts. Hehe. XD
Last night Joshua nearly scared me to death. o.o; I was sitting at the computer in my pajamas and no makeup, because Joshua was busy and couldn't come over. I suddenly heard knocking on the window like he sometimes does, but I didn't think he would be coming over so I couldn't be sure. Then he started knocking on the door and I wasn't about to open it with it being dark outside and with me not knowing for sure who it was! So I made my dad answer the door, and sure enough it was Joshua. Although I was spooked, it turned out to be a good thing after all. ^_^

Hm... I just took a quiz at StrictlyShoujo.com to find out what magical girl I am. Here is the result:
 | | You are Tsukino Usagi!You are love food, boys, shopping, and hanging out with your friends. You tend to cry when things get too hard, and have trouble doing things right the first time. You probably need to study a little harder. Your faith in the basic goodness of all people keeps you on the right track, even when others don't see it. |
I don't agree with it much, but I adore Usagi-chan so it's okay. ^^ These internet quizzes usually aren't very accurate anyway, but they're fun! XP
Well, my life has been basically the same as always, which is not necessarily a bad thing. On Saturday Joshua and I saw "Just Married" yet again and I loved it yet again... hehe. XD Then on Sunday night we watched the Super Bowl. Well actually, Joshua and his friend watched the Super Bowl -- I just watched the commercials and the half-time show. The commercials didn't seem as funny as they usually are... maybe I just missed the good ones because I didn't start watching until the second quarter. I also missed the Dixie Chicks and Celine Dion singing at the beginning, but my mom taped the whole game so I'll watch it sometime soon. YaY. :P
Today was my 100th day of school! 80 days until I'm completely free of high school! Woo hoo! I can't wait! XD

Well, my sickness must have only been the twenty-four hour flu or something. I woke up yesterday morning feeling fine, aside from having a cough and a slight headache. My day was also better -- band was a lot of fun, statistics was easy, in English we just went to the computer lab, and in government we took an test... but we could use our review sheet. We did absolutely nothing in Spanish or physchology... except we watched Seinfeld in the latter. Quite an educational experience, I must say. LOL. :P
Last night I saw "Chicago". Parts of it were really strange, but I enjoyed it. ^^ The dancing was incredible and I really liked how all the songs fit so well with what was happening in the storyline. Some of the music was great, but some of it I didn't especially like. And most of the costumes were horrendous and showed A LOT of skin. The most disturbing part of the movie was seeing Queen Latifa's cleavage. I mean, it's like the Grand Canyon or something. Yikes. @.@ But all in all, it was a really good movie and I would watch it again. I'll give it... three and a half out of five stars. It's a good musical, but it doesn't even touch Moulin Rouge. Hehe. XP

Blah. I feel like crap. >< My head hurts, I ache all over, my face feels like it's on fire, I'm coughing, I feel dizzy and weak, and I currently have a temperature of 101.3... which seems to be climbing as I write. -_- If you know me well, you know that I hardly ever get sick -- I haven't missed a day of school since Kindergarten when I had the chicken pox. So when sickness hits me, it hits me quite hard. But because of my perfect attendance record, I have to keep on truckin' and drag myself to school every day. Thank God tomorrow is Friday. I guess I must have the flu or something related to it... there's a bug going around and they've closed a few schools in our area because of it. I wish they'd close mine so I could get some rest. ><;
To add to my misery, my day wasn't all that great. First, I almost collapsed when I rolled out of bed -- the sickness must have attacked me while I was sleeping. Then, my mother yelled at me for no apparent reason. When I arrived at school, I found an air conditioning service truck parked in my spot. Out of all the spots in the lot, he had to pick mine! So I had to park far away from the school and run through the freezing wind to make it inside on time. My morning classes were decent, but when economics came around I nearly died. We had a speaker lecture us about the FAFSA form and financial aid. She talked for about forty-five straight minutes and nearly put everyone in the room to sleep. I was so bored I almost ripped my hair out. @.@
Well, that's enough complaining. Ehehe. ^^; At least tomorrow night should be good -- I'm going to see a couple of movies with my boyfriend and his friend. I don't care if I'm sick or not... I'm not going to miss going out with him! ><

Whee... I skipped a few more days. ^^;; But that's okay because I've realized that committing myself to my blog EVERY DAY takes some of the fun out of it, so I'm going to be pretty easy on myself about missing days... although I know it's torture for all my loyal readers. LOL. ;P
I watched the Golden Globes on Sunday night, but I got most of my enjoyment out of making fun of Uma Thurman's name and wondering if Renee Zellweger ever opens her eyes all the way. XD Beyoncé Knowles' dress was gorgeous, although she looks beautiful in practically everything she wears. The absolute worst "dress" (if you can even call it that) was worn by Lara Flynn Boyle who wore a tutu. That's right... a tutu. Complete with the lace-up shoes. What could she have been thinking when she put that on? I just can't imagine looking at myself in the mirror with a tutu on and thinking, "Well, this is just perfect for the awards show tonight." @.@ The actual awards weren't really that exciting, although I was very glad Nicole Kidman got best actress. :D I'm looking forward to the Oscars -- I've always liked them a lot more than the Golden Globes.
I made my boyfriend spend all of Monday with me because he was busy all weekend. Muah ha ha. XP First we ate a late breakfast and then we headed to the local zoo because it was such a pretty day! It was a lot of fun! ^_^ Next we went to the mall where we ate Chinese food and played video games... hehe. They had one of those Dance Dance Revolution games that I really wanted to play, but I didn't want to make a fool out of myself in front of everyone standing around watching. So I resisted the urge. :P We then went to Spencer's and laughed at all the sex games and toys at the back of the store. Some of that stuff is hilarious. XD!!
That night we went to see "Catch Me If You Can". I really enjoyed it -- it was very funny and the music was great (because I love John Williams). Because I liked it better than "About Schmidt", but not as well as "Just Married", I'm going to have to reluctantly resort to half stars and give it three and a half stars out of five. Once again, my boyfriend will laugh at me for loving "Just Married" so much. ^^
By the way, today is mine and Joshua's nineteen-month anniversary! Whee! Isn't that exciting? Hehe. ;D

Here I am again! I haven't posted in the past couple of days mainly because I had absolutely NOTHING remotely interesting to post about... lol. I went to school every morning and saw my Joshua almost every night, but even though being with him is a wonderful thing, I'm sure everyone reading would be bored by the mushy details. So I'll keep them to myself. Hehe. XP
Tonight was quite interesting. My boyfriend was busy, so I went out with two of my best friends, Samantha (AKA Sammie) and Adriel. We had a blast, but I almost had two heart attacks! The first occurred after we were leaving the restaurant. As we were about to cross a train track, we heard a train's horn and jerked our heads to look out the window. The headlight of a train was shining right at us, less than a block away. We all screamed and Adriel floored it... and it was then that we realized the train was sitting still. Oops. ^^;; Then, after we saw "Just Married" for the second time (and yes it was as good as the first time), we were leaving the parking lot when Sammie suddenly said, "Oh my gosh..." Adriel, thinking Sammie was warning her about a car that was going to hit us, stopped suddenly and looked out the window to see the brake lights of a SUV right next to us. She screamed, not noticing that the reverse lights weren't even on. Subsequently Sammie screamed and then it was my turn. It turns out, Sammie was just going to make fun of a spoiler that someone had put on a small car that definitely did not need a spoiler. It scared me to death, but it was sooooo funny. XD!! I love my friends... They're so crazy! :D

Well... not much has happened in the past couple of days. ^^; School is as boring and uneventful as always, and I'm hating my psychology class more and more as time goes on. Sure it's easy, but is that all I should look for in a class? I'm not learning anything, I don't need the credit, I've already been accepted to college so dropping the class wouldn't hurt my chances, I could be going home instead of sitting in a desk with a bunch of people I can't stand, and... I guess you see my point. XP I'll most likely drop it, and if do I'll get out of school an hour earlier! YaY! Sure I'll feel like a slacker at first... but I'm sure I'll get used to it. XD
As I said, I've been accepted to college! Whee! ^_^ I'm going to Baylor University next year to be with my sweet Joshua! Oh... and to get an education too. LOL. :D I've known I wanted to go there practically since I was born. My parents both went there, so I was pretty much a Baylor Bear from the beginning. I even called my pom pons "gobears". XD! And yes, they are called pom pons instead of pom poms... everyone just says it wrong. I ought to know -- I was a cheerleader for four years. *shudder*
...But that's another story. XD

Last night I saw "Just Married" and I thought it was really cute. XD! I was rather worried because the reviews sucked (of course), but I thoroughly enjoyed it! I've learned not to trust critics, especially dealing with a movie about teenagers, because typically the reviewers are older and have a completely different view of movies than most teenagers. I'd like to point out although I like Roger Ebert, his review of the movie was horrible -- he didn't even get some of the facts right and he looked into it way too much. It's not supposed to be some deep movie, it's just fun! XP Anyway, Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy have awesome on-screen chemistry -- they're so funny together! (I've heard that's because they're actually dating in real life...? o.O) I believe E! Online described the movie best when they said "...there isn't much substance, and the end result is never in doubt, but the laughs are there. And sometimes that's all you need for a shot of cinematic bliss." My boyfriend will laugh at me, but I give it four out of five stars for being so much fun! :D

Tee hee. XD

Hm... I went to see "Adaptation" last night and it was... interesting. :/ Nicholas Cage was wonderful playing himself AND his twin, and the editors did an incredible job putting the "twins" together in scenes. If I hadn't known better, I would have thought he really did have a twin brother. ^^; Another awesome part was at the beginning when they showed the entire evolution of mankind in about one minute. And at the end they quickly showed a busy street throughout the course of a few days, as flowers along the side opened and closed. Those scenes were really cool. XP But all in all, the movie was just weird. Parts of it were good, but some parts of it simply sucked. The scenes did not flow smoothly at all, and at times I was left for a few seconds thinking, "Huh?" Other times I felt like falling asleep. Eh... I'll give it two out of five stars.
If you hadn't noticed, I now have comments for each of my individual entries. Just click on "strip down" at the bottom of an entry to comment on it... hehe. I'd love to hear what anyone has to say! XD

My psychology class is such a waste of time! At first I was excited when I learned that our new teacher was going to be a former coach, because I knew he'd be really easy. He's a very sweet guy and he's incredibly lenient... but I am learning absolutely nothing in the class. I was looking forward to taking psychology too, because it's a subject that interests me. :( *sigh* Oh well... I guess I'll just wait and take it in college. But I might as well stay in the class and get by with an easy credit. :P That is, if I can stand the BOREDOM. Poor Mr. Griffin doesn't know what he's talking about half the time. He always says "electicism" when he's talking about "eclecticism" and it gets really annoying because I'm such a grammar person. XD;
Lunch was interesting today... Sammie and Adriel (my lunch buddies :P) were both staying during the period to finish a test, so I couldn't find anyone to eat with at the last minute. I went through the drive through of Chicken Express and decided to drop in on my mother at our Elementary school. She's the librarian there and she always eats lunch in her office, so I just joined her. Awww... ain't that sweet? XP
I convinced my boyfriend to start a blog! YaY for me! ^^ He's listed in under the "Friends" section as Neophiter, so go visit his website! Keep it mind that it's still under construction, but the layout is really cool. :D

I have a new dream car! Well... kinda. XP Those of you who know me fairly well probably are aware of the fact that I absolutely adore the Volkswagen New Beetle. I've wanted one ever since it came out, and I've known exactly how I wanted it -- silver and with a sunroof. ...But all that has just changed. Introducing my dream car and one of the cutest things I've ever seen!! XD
*dies* It's so adorable!! :D Although I love my Cavalier, the convertible New Beetle just can't be beaten. As soon as I have the money, this car is mine! XD Unless... any of you want to buy me one for my 18th birthday in a month. LOL. :P
Thanks to Ori-kun, Solar-chan, and Mandy-chan for linking to me at your blogs! *huggles* ^^

Kyaa... ><
If you visited my blog a little earlier today, you might have noticed that none of the images would load. I couldn't figure out what had happened until I checked my email and saw the notice that Boomspeed had deleted my account! ;.; I guess that's what I get for storing my images there... hehe. ^^; But all I had to do was sign up again, and now I'm back in action and breaking the rules once more! Only this time I actually created an index page so it would look like I was having them host my page. Aren't I clever? XD
Today was my first day back at school after the holiday break, and it felt like it lasted forever. In statistics I thought class was almost over and it had only been twenty minutes! @.@ At least my new psychology teacher seems easy... His rule sheet said he's very lenient on late work and he likes to drop bad grades at the end of the six weeks. And he doesn't like projects or reports like my old teacher. Good stuff. :D
I finally beat Kingdom Hearts!! Woo!! The animation was so COOL... much better quality than anywhere else in the game. And it played the slower version of Simple and Clean -- YaY for Utada Hikaru! ^^ Now my goals are to get all the best weapons, get all the best spells, beat the Hades Cup, and see that secret ending I've heard about. I can't wait for the sequel! XD

Last night I saw "Sweet Home Alabama" in the dollar theater around here. All the girls had been telling me that it was so adorable and that i just had to see it, so I did. ^^ It was... okay. I was quite disappointed, considering all the hype everyone had put into it. One of the most annoying aspects about it was that I liked both the guys the main female character was deciding between, so whenever she made her decision I knew I'd feel sorry for the other one. And I did. XP My boyfriend called the end perfectly -- in the movie, the main character Melanie asks for someone to play a song on the jukebox and to "make it a slow one". Joshua started humming the opening to "Sweet Home Alabama" and a few seconds later it started playing. XD! This movie deserves three out of five stars according to me.
Now here's a random rant: I can't stand those "Kidz Bop" CDs! They are such crap! I just saw a commercial on television for the third volume and I gagged. Those talented artists get their songs mutilated by a choir of munchkins to create those CDs! If I was a singer and I worked my butt off perfecting my hit song, I would not want it to be destroyed and made to be listened to by children. If they want to listen to the songs so much, why don't they just listen to the original? I just don't understand... >< The only time it's funny is when the song is by an artist I can't stand, like Britney Spears. Hearing her songs performed by a chorus of children is definitely an improvement. XD
I finally beat Riku/Ansem in Kingdom Hearts! Whee! :D Now I'm on to bigger and better bosses. *sigh* I'm going to have to do some serious leveling up... they're tough. ;.;
I'm sure you've noticed the horrendous image on the left of this page. ^^;; I promised a new picture of myself, so there it is. It's not wonderful, but it's decent. Enjoy...? :P
Friday, January 3, 2003
Well, I just got back from seeing "About Schmidt". It was pretty good, despite the fact that there were a couple of quite disturbing parts. At one point you see Jack Nicholson's butt, and even though he is a good actor, his butt is just not a pretty sight. o.O But the most scarring part by far was seeing Kathy Bates naked. That's right -- naked. Then, a couple of minutes later, she's sitting in a hot tub and the camera shows her from above. As my boyfriend so appropriately put it, she was "floating". *hides* @.@ All in all, in my opinion the movie deserves three out of five stars.
I'm really frustrated with Kingdom Hearts! I just can't beat the third boss in Hallow Bastion! I would use my summons, but for some reason you're not allowed to summon during this battle. *sighs* I suppose I'll beat it one of these days, but it's so annoying. ;.;
By the way, Mandy-chan -- go here for a list of all the nifty little css border styles. (The one I used is "dashed".) Hope that helps! ^^

I had to get up early to go to a dentist appointment this morning. (Yes 9:00 is early for me... I enjoy sleeping in for a few more hours. ^^) They had this little "random facts" video in the waiting room, and every answer was A. That made guessing incredibly uninteresting. ><
I'm already dreading school and I still have a few days of freedom left. The Christmas break has gone so fast... it feels like we just got out! Why is it that time passes so quickly when I'm enjoying myself, and it seems to stop when I'm confined to a desk? "Time flies when you're having fun" I know, but it's just not fair. :P
Thanks for all the sweet comments in my TagBoard! *huggles* ...But I'd love it if you all could sign my guestbook so I could keep them forever. XD

Happy New Year!!
...And welcome to the opening of my humble little blog, Hadaka. Please continue to stop by -- I do love visitors. ^^
Well, New Year's Eve was a blast for me. I hung out with a bunch of my friends and my boyfriend, and we sat around eating and watching the ball drop in New York on TV. And this year I actually got to kiss my boyfriend at midnight... whee. o.O Then we went outside in the yard to shoot off fireworks, and even those that exploded on the ground were quite entertaining. We got to run around screaming as we put out little fires in the grass, and Adriel yelled at us for catching her yard on fire. ^_^ The girls didn't get much action though -- we each just got a little box of sparklers and had to follow the boys around so they could light them for us.
I don't have a New Year's resolution yet... maybe just to keep up with this blog? XD;; I'll try to think of something better...
Oh, and as soon as HaloScan starts accepting members again, you'll be able to comment on my posts. How exciting, eh? They just had to shut down right when I wanted to sign up. *sigh* It's a conspiracy, I tell you. :P
